The password is the primary method of protecting confidential information we work with. As such, password security is important!
The following constraints apply to all password changes. Passwords…
- Must be changed at least every 187 days.
- May be changed at most once every 24 hours.
- Must be complex, which means the password must:
- Not contain your email account name or parts of your full name that exceed two consecutive characters
- Be at least six characters in length
- Contain characters from at least three of these four categories:
- The uppercase letters A through Z
- The lowercase letters a through z
- The numbers 0 through 9
- Special symbols such as !, $, #, %, “, +, etc.
- Must be unique across the most recent 20 passwords.
NB: Be aware that mobile devices, etc., will stop syncing after you change your password. You’ll need to enter your new password into the mobile device to resume syncing.
NB II: Accounts with passwords aged past the limit will be locked. To restore access, please call the main office.
